You might remember me telling you that when you start this cold it Rattles a bit.
Well that was last winter. As soon as it warmed up in the spring the rattling went away!
I’m thinking it’s the timing chain. It’s not bad enough to do anything about it
I bought this truck for $11,000 with 55,000 miles on it because the tundra for the same money would have 150,000 miles on it and it would have belt driven camshafts and get like 13 miles per gallon.
So if you’re thinking of doing the same thing, just remember it had a bad front wheel bearing and the ABS module is bad was bad. The used car dealer I bought it from fix those things, change the oil, put new brake pads on . The wheel bearing and module cost $750 to do but that was included in the price.
I wouldn’t expect a Toyota to have those problems! So this is kind of an experiment that you can profit from!
