Hi I have a question regarding the compatibility of xa short shifters in a 2007 Yaris. Most sellers will list them as compatible with both models but some won’t and I’m wondering if they are truly cross compatible or not. For example the ralco rz shifter for the Yaris is #914944 and states it’s compatible with xa and xb as well. However if you search for ralco rz shifter for scion xa it’s part # 914850 and also costs half the price. Meanwhile other branded ones list one part as compatible with all models. Are they cross compatible? Sorry if this has been discussed I did a forum search but didn’t find an answer.

I haven't seen #914850 first hand to confirm, but the picture sure looks non-trivially different. If it's about the cost, their #914944 looks identical to the kit I recently got from NST for nearly half the price: https://www.nonstoptuning.co/store/p219/2005-2013ToyotaYarisShifterNSTSSK069.html Installation in "only a few minutes" my ass, but I'm happy with the result.

They only difference I can tell is that u shaped washer is not included. What is that used for when you installed your shifter kit? The ralco rz for scion xa can be found at 45$ which is why I was wondering what the difference was.

For anyone wondering it fits and works great. I got one for scion xa/xb for 35$ vs Yaris specific ones for 90$ I’m not sure what the difference is but I can assure that it fits and works just fine
