to black or not to black?

My aspiration is to murder out my Mk.2 and I want to paint the grey parts of my interior black. Has anyone changed their interior colour? or just have an opinion? I'd like to hear it

Black is too hot in summer

I did it. Center dash pieces. Painted them black. Unfortunately while it does look awesome, my headunit overheats.
I want to paint the grey door trims black as well. Maybe during Spring

recomend you "try it" before you commit.....use plasti dip, if you dont like it peal it off, if you like it peal it off n paint it

Well since some of the interior is black already I didn't think the temperature would be that drastic, some cars interiors have full black interiors as their design

Maybe because my headunit isn't the factory one. Before I painted my dash trim black, it would overheat only if it was 38+°C outside and the sun directly hit the screen.
Now, I've had it happen multiple times with overcast at about 30 degrees
