I removed the front steering rack and notice there is no power steering motor on it and no electrical connections of any kind.
Is the power steering motor in the steering column?
Do I need to do anything special when reconnecting the steering rack to reset the system or recalibrate?
In my 2007 Sedan.
It is on the steering column.
In the engine bay.

I hope you put match marks on the column before disconnecting it. *eek*
I don't think there's any electrical procedure for reconnecting it if but I'd have to dive into the manuals for that info...
The 2007 service manual for the power steering. Has a calibration procedure needed after some parts where removed or replaced.

Marked it. There is a notch in the steering column that prevents you from installing it too far off

Worst case scenario, pull the PS breaker until I figure out the problem.
