New tire valves?

I have an a 2009 Yetis HB that is in great shape.... it has less than 30.000 miles on it .. long story.
.
The only thing that I have replaced so far was a new battery a few years ago

However, now the lows tire light on the dash says on no matter what the tire pressure is
So, I assume that the battery is dead on at least one tire valve sender

How much would it cost to replace the valves?
Also perhaps there is there an easy way to disconnect the dash light for .low tire pressure? .

You are correct. The battery on one or more of the sensors has probably failed

Replacement goes for around $250-300

There is a bypass for the TPS module.

Can't remember where I found it but it worked.

I'd find a parts store that carries the Autel MX-sensors. See if they can get the tpms codes out through the OBD2 connector and program new sensors for you. Then take them to a tire shop for installation. I tire shop might have autel too. If anything, If you can get the codes I'm sure you could order some programed sensor on e bay.

I will go down to a local privately own tire shop in a few day to see what they can do for me. I have dealt with them in the past and they were great

I just wanted a ball park figure and around $250 seems to be about right fro new TPMS vales installed. from what I can find on the net.

I just did not want to get ripped off. and I'm certainly not going to the Toyota dealer for it. :smile:

The new battery should eliminate any possible failing sensors due to inaccurate voltage.
