View Full Version : 07 console wire..what is it for? + one more question

so in my digging hunting and chasing wires, ive run into 2 questions...

the other question is in regards to OE fog light wiring..trying to figure out if its a full harness or multiple plug points or what..as i know theres a spot for the cluster to light up and while what we have "works" id like to do it "right"


WTF is this wire for..4 pin small and obviously in the console..so id assume a switch or something would plug in and go in 1 of the 4 holes, ive been thru dozens of yaris and have yet to find anything that matches or was pluged into it...including the security system sensor/led thing

Aux jack? That is only thing I have in my center console at all on my yaris, 3 blank panels and an aux port

aux port? as in an aux power port?, seems strange being 4 wires

any chance youd be willing to pop up that panel and have a look?...i mean its just "clipped" in so its a 30 sec look see

so i "think" that means i now know what all 4 "holes" are for
aux
door locks
fogs
alarm system

were there any other options to go in there..i did note theres a 5th "stamped" but not cut optional hole

Its funny I always wondered what all the other slots were for. The Aux one is the only one my car has.

ditto and ive spent the past 6 years trying to figure them all out, it wasnt untill recently that i noticed the aux wire down there(thanx for id-ing it) and in my AC parts huntig came across the factory alarm light/sensor, as well as my fog light install, tho with the fog lights im still trying to find information about how to trip the brain to kick on the fog light in the dash

slowly optioning out the lil bare bones yaris..power windows and "remote" locks are the last 2 i want, but i want factory remote locks
