Fender marker light fitment?

Has anyone else had weird fitment issues on their fender marker lights on an '07?

I have two different sets, on both the driver side fits fine, but the passenger side seems like the hole is about 2 or 3mm too big so it can't clamp in properly.

not that issue but fitment as in "loose" since new like the fenders are thinner than the lights fingers that hold it in
