So lately, I've noticed that when I'm at a stop or a light, when I try to go again the engine seems to struggle a bit. If you are very gingerly with the gas pedal it seems okay, but if you give it too much gas it seems to stutter and a few times the engine has stalled out. When the car is already in motion, everything works fine though. Acceleration is adequate when moving. It's only when at a complete stop. It's not throwing any codes on the computer so I'm not sure what to look into.

It's a 2007 with 300k miles on it, so it might just be a dying engine? But if there's some ovbious fix that you folks have run into, please enlighten me.

Has the MAF sensor ever been cleaned?

Weak fuel pump? I'd check fuel pressure.

As the more experienced folks already mentioned - dirty MAF sensor and/or spark plugs check/replacement might be the case.
It could be also as easy as clogged (too old) engine air filter. Or throttle body needs cleaning.

There is no such thing as "dying engine" for Toyota. :)

I also refuse to accept that it's dying. Toyota's usually last forever lol. I'm taking it to a Toyota dealer to do a diagnostic and check these specific things.
