Hi
Glad to find this forum. I just purchased a 2012 yaris YR NCP130R. It appears to be prewired for cruise control (blanked out control lights on dial), but I'm not 100% sure. There is a cruise control lever blank cover on the side where I guess the cc spindle goes through..
Is there a youtube link or whatever someone can provide to explain the fitting of one procedure.
Thanks for your time

take a look here in the forums theres a full write up with pic's
in a quick summery you need a CC stalk from 04-12 toyota....basicly anything and everything that had cc will have it, you also need the pigtail from the stalk to the snail, otherwise its a simple matter of pulling the steeringwheel pluging it in screwing it down and your done

I have the same model, and can confirm the cruise control works. Search the forum for third generation cruise control.
For the manual transmission, there is also a switch that needs to be installed on the clutch pedal. For an automatic, you only need to install the control stalk. The wiring is all in place.
With automatic transmission, it's a 5 minute installation.
The cruise control stalk is part number 84632-34011
The clutch switch is part number 88280-14030

Thanks guys for your help. I'll look through the forums and check the info out. Sounds promising tho. Just hope the Aussie models are wired up correctly.

I notice I do have the audio controls on my steering wheel. Does this complicate the matter too much.

Then again, if I disconnect the battery for airbag, I'm up for $150 bucks to get radio code from dealer as I don't know it ????

i didnt dissconnect mine, as for the radio code check the manual it might be in there, i thought you could just provide the dealer with the vind and get the radio code for free since you own the car

Yeah. I don't think I'll disconnect mine. My dealer wanted $80 bucks to delete radio code completely. Couldn't help anymore they said.

The link doesn’t work for me anymore. Does anyone else have the guide? I took a look at my 2008 sedan yesterday, and there were wires where I wasn’t expecting them (in the spots to put the wire to the ECU and the wire to ground) but I don’t have a wire coming from the ECU, so I don’t want to mess with it blindly. Thanks for any help!

the website will sometimes "hiccup" try the link till it works...its still a good lin k i just double checked
wait if you have an 08 and it has the spots filled on the ECU than you dont need to run wires...your a plug n play..ie put in the CC unit and the jump cable at the snail, and verify the plug on the other side of the snail is in place
the link will clear that up about some of the 08+ cars having "most" of the CC stuff pre-installed to the point of only needing to plug the CC unit in and a matching cable..no "non factory" additions

I’m so sorry! Let me try to clarify. I can see the thread, but the pdf link sends me to a French blog. I did find some other posts from before that guide was put together after searched a while.
So the wires I have are the blue and brown in the connector D3 under my steering column. What I do not have is a wire in the ECM pin 40 spot. I don’t know how to connect a wire from the ECM at this point, because I wasn’t expecting the wires that are in connector D3. I just don’t want to mess up my poor car, haha!

let me see if i saved that pdf on one of my machines...
what i recall is that you need to run the signal wire from the CC unit to the ecm..but ill look for clarification...i know i was a lil worried about doing it too
try this
it helps clear up some things but its for the non factory CC install so its only partly usefull but all the "stock" wiring locations still apply

If anyone in Australia has done the CC Mod on a 2012 Yaris NCP130, did you have to do the below mod...
"Those with the audio controls will need to transfer the two cruise control pins (in positions 1 and 2) from the 4 pin cruise control stalk wire to their 10 pin spiral cable connector (in positions 1 and 2)"
or was it a simple plug and play procedure.
Regards
