Installed a new water pump and alternator and a chirp began to emerge. I at first thought its the alternator seeing as it is a re manufactured brand. Took it off and went back to the parts store to have it bench tested and it passed.

Its not the AC pulley as I ran a belt bypassing it.

The new water pump doesnt line up with the other pulleys as the old one did... It sticks out a bit farther than the factory pump. The belt does not sit on it it perfecly in the middle- a portion of it hangs off the right side of the pulley.

So I am getting a chirp- not a squeal- due to this.

Has anyone else experienced this?

No. Did the pump have a thick gasket?

Yeah... I almost thought that it wouldn't seal. My brother pointed out to me that the pulley itself of the water pump has lost its enamel and that is likely what is making the chirp. The pulleys are black from the factory but the portion which the belt runs on has turned to a smooth silver and that is what is probably making it.

if the belt is hanging off missaligned then youve got an issue..the "silver" is normal wear and has no effect on the belt noise

take that pump off and get another one..likely the pully wasnt fully pressed on

unfortunately, aftermaket parts for toyotas are never worth it, you really have to get factory parts when it comes to service parts or youll have a headache otherwise

not typicaly true....tho when it comes to "hard" parts like alt/waterpump etc ALWAYS compare the original to the new part..its how you catch the variant and flawed junk BEFORE it goes on

i actualy have the same issues with ALL of my vintage stuff from the alfas to the mopars....quality control on replacement parts is NOT what it used to be

The pump to get is the Aisin water pump, they are an oem supplier.
