I’m talking about fram oil filters. People cut them open and see that the end caps are made out of cardboard.

They think this is bad. But I have use them on my wife 2005 Camry and has 195,000 miles on it. Not every time but maybe a third of the time. I am the only one who is ever change the oil on it and I’ve never used Toyota oil filters. Usually I use Purolator PL14477 but sometimes they don’t have them. So I use the fram ones.

It is true they cost more. Amazon wants $10 for one now! They used to be $3.83!

Here we go again with the "Fram filters aren't that bad" spiel again.

It’s pretty hard to argue with 195,000 miles.

It’s pretty hard to argue with 195,000 miles.

Also pretty hard to argue with the thousands of negative opinions from LICENSED mechanics on them aswell as the countless teardown videos on Youtube. :bonk:
