Hi,
I got a set of Tein S tech lowering springs still with the original dampers. These are still in quite good condition since the car has not even done 90k kms (new in Toyota terms ;)

Now I am looking for some dampers to go with these springs. It is for street use, since going to a track is quite expensive... Don't daily it but don't want to shake my behind off aswell...

Now the Koni orange/yellow's are very available here in the Netherlands. These are quite expensive (student life). I have found a set of Apex dampers for the price of 1 koni shock, 125 euros. Is this worth a shot or just go with a koni set for 400-700 euros? Couldn't find anything on these so does anyone have any experience with these Apex dampers?

Thanks

Edit: part numbers for the apex shocks 7101410 and 7102110

I'm not familiar with the first gen Yaris. We only had the "Echo" in the states.

With that said, newer dampers are generally better than old ones. But, you also get what you pay for. So cheap dampers may not be that good.

I would either go with the Koni's, see if Toyota has TRD dampers, or see if Bilstein B8 Performance dampers fit on your vehicle.

If these options are too expensive, you could look into KYB Excel G as they should be the same as OEM.

I don't know if I would get the Apex dampers.

hate to be that guy..but the truth on dampers is that only a handfull of companys ACTUALY make them
koni, bilstein, kyb, gabriel, monroe and a couple others

toyota useualy uses kyb (made for them by kyb) with a few exceptions, id be suprised if apex didnt use gabriel or monroe..which..is both cheep and not that great

for alot of owners tho "cheep" dampers are just fine for how they drive...
