Hello All

Been trying to diagnose why the heater in my 07 yaris isn't working. I have not been able to locate the little plastic cable actuated control on the heater housing. Anyone know where this control might be located ?
Also might someone know how the system works? Does the system use an actual coolant valve to control coolant flow through the heater core?

there is NO COOLANT VALVE..even on the AC cars...its just a set of doors, and the door you want...i think..open the glove box and pop it off, look to the left and there should be a door right there to the left or atleast a wheel..that is the door that opens and shuts for heat/ac..or "cold" if you have no ac....if this isnt the door id have to go verify on my spare unit...pretty sure it is as i wanted to put a "switch" off that wheel to run a coolant valve

with the glove box off pull the filter holder out and check the filter (it may not have one but has the holder just the same)

either youve got a cable/door, heater core or filter issue...
