The photo shows a car up on ramps for a practice oil change, and also with all the plastic around the engine removed.

2011 Lexus I S2 50 convertible. Hardtop. Return 10 year lease from the dealer. 59,000 miles. You need to go to school to drive this car! The battery in the fobs only lasts a year.

It’s complicated! It’s a luxury vehicle with many features. For instance the key fobs continuously emit radio waves. The batteries will wear out in 12 months. If the battery goes dead you can’t get in the car and you can’t start it. By contrast the batteries in my Karolis key fob will last 10 years.

Every time you do a maintenance Item Like change the oil change the air filter you can enter it in the database. There’s a lot to learn.

Here are a couple of features I’ve never seen in a car

When you put the transmission in reverse, the rearview mirrors tilt down so you can see the curb.

The metal frame of the windshield wipers is electrically heated to remove ice

The paint has additives in it to make it 5° cooler in direct sun

ok the mirror re-focus would probably annoy the crap out of me even if it is a weirdly cool thing

im curious as to the paint additive too..never heard of anything like that ...and with the custom work i do dropping temps would be HUGE even if it only works on white roofs

ive got a couple of quirky old cars that fit the category off "cant take it with you"

There’s a YouTube video by this Greek guy who bought an is 250 lexus. Actually several videos. Thats where I heard about the paint. He mentions about 20 things the car does like that.
