Very nice... I have the same grill... How much did it cost you for the whole thing? I'm still looking for side skirts for a decent price.

How was shipping? I've wanted a Vitz RS G's front bumper for ages but I can't justify the 3 grand to ship the bloody thing to Canadialand

i used a hookup in japan that ships stuff for buisness, so shipping was nothing, like $75, i paid for the whole kit used off of yahoo.japan for about $300 usd, total cost to get it to my door was about $530, i priced it shipping just a residental address to my house was about $1500 lol

I will check them out. The bumper I want is easily found for less than $500 but its always the shipping that breaks the deal.

that looks like the kouki factory lip kit, so 09-11 i think, you will need different headlights since they are different than the 07-08 zenki lights

So they have them in Japan too? I thought they were more in Malaysia and Thailand. That might be good news, since I have a nephew stationed in Japan...
Yup, I'm aware of the headlight swap, and it's fine, I'd like to replace my headlights anyway sooner or later, since there are some stress crack on them that you'd see only when the lights are on. I even thought of retrofitting projector headlights when I get new ones.

anyone know how to clean off all the rubber molding adhesive without burning through the plastic? man this a bitch to get off and i already tried the 3m rubber eraser wheel and its too agressive! it removes material from the plastic! https://www.yarisworld.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=62558&stc=1&d=1678593670

How about Goo-Gone? Soak them in a bit and use a non-marring tool to scrape them off.

actualy if thats just a lowwer lip like it looks it should slip over the early bumper without the need of a headligth swap....honestly i hate the newer headlights the screw up the bodyline flow

i hate to tell you this but theres no "quick" way....and be VERY carefull of any chemcals as youll ikely damage the plastic, youll need to just pick n poke and rub at it till you get it all off, the best tool i know of for that is to use something made of silicone and rub it by HAND the same way youd use a finger to get it emblem tape off a body

Mine might be aftermarket. I don’t remember if the number on the back says Toyota. What I’m wondering is does yours look the same, or do I need to trim mine along the bend (marked in red).

I'm thinking the issue here is trying to use a JDM grill insert on a USDM bumper cover. JDM bumper cover is shorter which means it does not have the same curvatures as the USDM.

if i have the time i will, i got a track weekend im doing so it wont be anytime this week, im going to install the lip kit today and hopefully it all goes smooth, i had to repaint it 4 times i wasnt happy with my results, finally i got it to where i am happy, its tricky to prep the surface on it as its flexible plastix

sh0rtlife

flex aditive is fun isnt it..and it screws with the mix of the paint thus throwing off your gun adjustments

remcafee
03-16-2023, 06:52 PM
exactly, its hard to match with the rest of the car paint, i went ahead and added a little slight more yellow tint to my mix and its as close as its gonna get, i respect all painters, its very hard to do, especially if you want a good finish

Nice!!! Are the side skirts even with the pinch welds? I don't want side skirts much lower than that.

Are you going to install the top grill too??? Look for a spoiler, even if they are replicas...

id rock that.....did you lose and ground clearance on the nose?...looks like you did and didnt at the same time

i want the rear bumper bit most of all

remcafee
03-21-2023, 10:20 PM
it sits about half inch lower than the pinch welds i say, front lip in the middle is about even then it flares out the sides, same with rear the middle is about even with bumper then flares out lower to sides

i still have it, i personally thought it was better to keep the toyota emblem, i would have to go all vitz badges if i were to do it not just the one on the front

WeeYari

An authentic Vitz only has the Netz badge on the front. The Toyota sombrero remains on the back. Still would have to replace Yaris with Vitz though.

remcafee

correct they are zenki meaning it would be 06-08 vitz, these are actuslly the non rs type, they are part of a vitz "styling package" i cant see a part number without taking the side skirts off but let me find you the right one
