Yaris 2012 rear door manual lock switch

Hi guys, recently I found out that the manual lock of my Yaris rear door is broken, it's loose and just turning left and right, when I bought the car it was fine, so my question is, is there an easy fix that I can do to fix it or I have to take the car to a mechanic? pop it off and verify that its actualy broken and that the cable hasnt detatched
