High pitch whine or hum with no key in and not turned on. What would be the problem? I bought the car used and it didn't come with a manual. Thanks in advance.

sounds like a posible alarm issue of some kind

best thing to do is walk around the car with the hood doors and hatch/trunk open and see if you can figure out where the soud is coming from..ive heard of fuel pumps getting stuck on and doing it too but i doubt youd hear it
