VVT wasn’t hooked up so it only made 70 WHP at 3-4 psi, hoping for 100ish at 7 psi with VVT working, will post an update once she’s all done on the dyno.

Got the car back from the shop yesterday, she feels even more like a go cart and I love it.

Yeah, I was hoping to push it even further but the shop wasn’t comfortable spinning it up to 9000 RPM on their dyno. (I don’t blame them 9000 RPM is definitely pushing into the limits of the stock valve springs.)

Does anyone make upgraded valve springs for the SZ engines?

No but the 2/3SZ and the Daihatsu K3 series use pretty much the same head and have stiffer valve springs.

Hmm interesting, we never got the SZ here so I don't know a whole lot about them.
