Toyota Yaris 2014 LE Liftback here.

A few days back, in traffic, my car's suspension suddenly started behaving a little different. Next I noticed that my ABS wasn't working any more.

Thankfully, nothing any worse happened. The car was still driveable.

After a little research, I figured that my fuse for ABS and the vehicle stability system has probably gone bad.

Using this webpage as a guide: https://www.startmycar.com/toyota/yaris/info/fusebox/2014

I pulled out both the fuses related to ABS, but both look okay. There is no obvious sign of a meltdown.

Also: I was shocked to see how many pieces were missing from my other engine compartment fusebox.

My questions for you:

1) What should my next steps be? Should I try to replace the fuses regardless? What else?

2) Why are there so few fuses in my other engine compartment fusebox (Type C)?

Thank you in advance.

I think you had another post just like this but I’ll say hear what I said there.

Get a code reader and see if there are any codes. If you don’t have one I think AutoZone will read the codes for you.

If there are codes tell us what they are.

Don’t freak out if the ABS is toast. ABS Does not statistically reduce accidents. It’s common on older cars not to fix it because it can cost thousands.

Good luck and tell us what happens!

On the fuse blocks protective cover. Should be a fuse map of what they are for and their value.
I believe on my 2007 one of the blocks had many open unused positions. For features mine did not come with.
Your owners manual should have a listing in it.
