I have a few paint chips on the undercarriage. No big deal, but i plan to keep this car for a LONG time, so i’d like to touch it up. Anyways should I just use a touch up paint pen? But I also spray fluid film every year so, maybe it’s best to just blast these sections with fluid film more often? What would you guys do in this situation?

Thanks for any advice.

Would you explain what fluid film is? Never heard of it. I see you live in Maryland. Is that where the car is from? In that case there should be a little to no rust on it.

Fluid Film is a lanolin based lube/rust preventer. It creeps into area as it doesn't harden.

if your "oiling" the belly no amount of touchup will stick without some serious prep, and honestly even if you do get some good prep your best bet for belly touchup would be some "zero rust" either dab it on out of a can or buy a rattle can of it and just "spot spray"
