2007 yaris hatchback 4 door

So my moms yaris has the check engine light and vsc on, it was turned off, but came back on after a month. i read on this forums some people had the same issue and it ended up being the brake light on the taillight but the post is so old, ill add it below.. Mother said that, in fact one of my brake lights is not working. so hoping that would solve the issue

Havent been able to find the exact same light, all i have found was the other ones.

Rather than guessing at this point, you really need to find out what code is throwing the check engine light. I really doubt it has anything to do with a non-functional light.

right now she cant take it, and so we still need to fix that light anyways. I didnt find any other info on this , thats why im asking here
