Yaris gear stuck in N

I have a Toyota Yaris 2009. I bought it two months ago. When I was driving last week the gear stuck in N for 20 seconds and that also happened the next day. I was trying to change the gear, but it was stuck in N. Since that haven’t happen. Anyone has experience? Is it Serious ?

I assume this is a manual transmission?

If so, have your mechanic lubricate the shifter cables.
