sorry but i barly got 450km on a tank!!!! and believe me i drive like a grandmother, top speed 120, out of that 450 i was in traffic for maybe 1 hour!! guess the yaris is not all its cracked up to be, or maybe i was expecting 2 much

you should get between 500 and 650 km per tank fill (38/9 L) that is what i have found to be the norm,

although when i first got my car, mileage was much worse than it is now.

I would wait until you have 2-3000k on your car before you can gain an understanding of what the mileage will be like.

I'm still getting around 40 miles to the gallon with 1,500 miles on mine now.

You may take it in to the toyota dealer to see if something is wrong.

I will say wait a bit, go for another tank or two. I drive mostly cities and roughly around 500~560 clicks or so.

My last tank ........ 625km, 6.4L/100km or 45 mpg (Imp.). That was all town and country driving, but no highway. I do not take it easy, I enjoy driving the car. What is a 2007 Aero anyway??? Is that the top model of the sedan???

I got 600 km first tank
averaging around 600, on 4 tanks now...

I so far amm happy, but wifes echo gets 700/tank..

its a small tank 42l, sure the dealer filled it up, try another tank, that you filled !!

Lots of people have reported their mpg numbers on the "Fuel Economy" thread. Visit it and you will have a fairly good idea about how well the Yaris can do on average. You are also most welcome to share your fuel saving tricks on that thread. See you there!

Note that 120 kph isn't slow.

I've averaged 42 mpg US in my car, but I very rarely go over 60 mph which is 100 kph.

The area I drive in is on the hilly side as well, so with some practice anyone should be able to get near 40 mpg.
