Can anyone identify this part?

I have a 2008 sedan with manual transmission. I thought i had a bad motor mount, but upon further investigation this piece of something was wedged in between the transmission and the cross member.
Any idea what it could be and should i be worried? The clunking and vibrating sounds are gone now.

I could be wrong but, the mesh material around the visible bolt head makes this look like it might be apiece of the exhaust manifold heat shield.

yeah thats a chunk of unimportant heat shield, note the "fuzzy" gasket around the bolt

That's what I was thinking, just wanted another set of eyes and opinion.
