Hi,
I picked up a 2007 Yaris 5sp HB a few years ago. It's been our "golf cart" for trips around the property. Never let me down, and always starts! Unfortunately, the body, brakes and rear wheel bearings are all shot. I've decided to donate the car to the fire department for training purposes. They don't need the drivetrain, though.
I decided I'd keep the engine and transmission (for some reason). Without having to re-install what's the best way to safely remove the drivetrain as a unit. I've read and watched a few videos, but they appear to be "delicate" in the removal process. I've done engines before, but few FWD. I'd also want the chassis to roll on it's own wheels when done. How much of the suspension needs to be removed?
Thanks,
J
