2009 starter motor grounding ?

Is there suposed to be a ground strap on the starter bolts ?

How about lock washers?

I'm about to add both........... not sure if the old ones rotted off or what........ but my starter isnt grounded. ( wont start unless I add ground )

the starter nut has a washer built into it, aftermarket ones you would probably need to add one

Starter could've been replaced at one point and it was too loose and fell off over time

So the question is......... are there saposed to be lock washers? is there saposed to be a ground strap ?
