Driving modes explain please

I dont really get the different modes of driving in my Yaris hybrid, its petrol, but "my toyota" says i have EV driving time

Is this good ? What does it mean ? Can you select a driving mode and if so how ? Or is it anauto thing ?

What are the lights on the screen tjat changevfrom, red,yellow, green, into and out ofbthe battery etc

Not sure about your question pertaining to lights.
Hybrids can be switched to EV mode which means you'll drive on battery only. Very limited range. I suspect it will also switch automatically to EV mode if you happen to run out of petrol.
