This may just be a shot in the dark, but i need some good advice and not the kind that tells me i should not have gotten the car!! I know how dumb this sounds, but I'm hopeful. I bought a 2012 Toyota yaris from a friend. The car has a new starter, throttle body, fuel injectors( I think they are on wrong)a new fuel pump, new battery, alternator was checked its good and the car still won't start unless you have jumper cables connected then it will try to start but goes off as soon as you release the key! Now, when I did that, it was when I noticed gas leaking around the new fuel injectors?! I was thinking of new coils and spark plugs next, but I'm just a girly girl and don't know how to fix fuel injectors or anything else cars Outside of oil changes and things like that. You tube come on handy on alot of things! I just don't have a lot of money to throw at this car right now so you best educated guess on what I should do next would be greatly appreciated, please and thank you in advance! I did buy a cheap obd2 scanner but I'm not sure if it's because mine is cheap it wouldn't read any codes with out the car running so no help there.
