2013 Yaris yr key programming

Hi mates,
Anyone successfully done reprogramming of their replacement remote?
I bought the remote replacement from eBay but the old trick of opening and closing of door which worked in my old 2009 is not working for the 2013 model.

I got the local locksmith to do it. He has all the equipment. What I didn't know is that you can only have 4 keys... and we had 6. That's why we were having trouble programming the replacement.

The door trick didn't work for us on the 2006 Yaris... but the locksmith had a programming machine which bypassed the need for playing with the doors. We assume that older cars often get a bit cranky... The key and programming cost $200... which seemed reasonable given how long it took them to get the new key working.

We have both 2006 and 2015 Yaris' which have had key fobs replaced successfully.
