Looking to siphon some old gas out of my 08 Yaris sedan
Has anyone had any luck siphoning gas from a similar model via the fuel filler pipe?
Does the 08 Yaris have a rollover valve or other blockage that would make it difficult for me to insert a pipe all the way down the fuel filler pipe and into the tank?
Appreciate your help!

Yes, there is an anti-siphon/rollover mechanism in place.

How much old gas is in and how old it actually is? Is it really worth the effort?
If it is not like half a tank of a year old gas, I would probably fill her up with fresh fuel and get on a long highway trip.

It's been sitting since May (about 8 months) with about 3-4 gallons in it (10% ethanol). Definitely tempted to just fill her up with premium and drive off. Worried though about damaging the fuel pump (or worse).. $500 to replace the pump, $500 of which I don't have right now

Update:
I was able to siphon some of the old gas out with a 6 foot piece of 1/4" ID hose and the tip cut at a 45 degree angle (to help in getting past the 90 degree bend in the fuel filler pipe and a possible rollover valve obstruction). Credits to this guy for the specs on that hose:

I was only able to siphon out a portion of the 3 gallons of old gas in the tank so I filled the rest of the tank up with premium. It puttered out at a stop sign after driving a few blocks (probably the old gas in the lines I'd guess) but since then has been driving fine.
