I am British, but spending approximately 4 months a year in Tenerife, Spain. I got Toyota Yaris hybrid 2023 in Tenerife. when I am out of Tenerife for couple of months or so, the car is stationary and startup battery not active, which effecting its lifetime. A couple of weeks ago I have changed the startup battery, it was completely dead. what should I do to prolong the battery lifetime? should I disconnect the startup battery before leaving Tenerife? I can ask friends in Tenerife to startup a car ones a week for 5-10 minutes while I am out of Tenerife, but I am not sure if that help.
