Hi everyone,
I have been in possession of a 2007 Toyota Vitz RS 1.5l for some time now and want to get into upgrading it. I have very little knowledge and experience with modding cars but want to get into the hobby.

I want to know what low end and high end mods are available, what the performance increase may be and any other general suggestions and advice you guys may have with modding NCP91s. What sort of performance is possible to be squeezed out of the 1NZ.

Keen to hear any recommendations and personal experiences with your NCP91

welcome! so for upgrading for performance there is not much you can do to the 1nzfe other than forced induction, or forfeit your wallet for an all motor build, the most cost effective and easy upgrade is going to be an engine swap, and gearing. 2zrfe engine swap and 4.3 final drive gearset will give you noticeable difference in power and acceleration for not too much

I have heard that doing a piggyback ecu provides noticeable performance increases just by increasing the redline rpm and removing factory limits. Is this something you have tired or looked into before?

If you google “Jason isley Vitz” think there is an article where he talks about his track Vitz

i have not gotten into tweaking the engine management, it is more involved and has diminishing returns if youre just putting bolt ons only, forced induction then obviously yea you definitely should
