I’m looking to permanently remove the front passenger seat from my 2014 Toyota Yaris. I understand that doing so will likely trigger a fault with the SRS/ECU, leading to system errors and the activation of the airbag warning light. Unfortunately, I’ve had difficulty finding a solution to bypass this issue.

I’ve read through various threads on this site suggesting the use of an SRS bypass module, but I haven’t been able to locate or purchase one.

Could anyone offer advice on how to remove the passenger seat without causing a fault in the airbag system? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my post!

I’ve been exploring this as well. Only option right now is to keep all the wiring connected, but remove it from the seat.

Superuser CTScott used to(and hopefully still does) make a bypass module that allows the plugs to remain “connected”. I haven’t reached out to CTScott to see if that’s still available, but that’s the best solution I’ve seen here as well.

My plan was to just install an "Airbag Simulator Tester" into the airbag plug. Not sure if that's a complete solution, but they are only about a buck each on amazon.
