Hi,
Looking to add cruise control to the Yaris.
I will be going on an 8,000 km (5,000 mile) jaunt this summer so it will make life easier.

I have seen it's really easy for the automatic.
What are the hurdles for a manual?
What is a good parts source?

Can I get parts from another Toyota (or other) in a scrap yard to make it easier?
It looks like I would have to drill a hole in the steering wheel cover to allow for the stalk. Is there another way to go?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Dwarf,
I am not sure if there are any differences in CA, but in the USA you can buy a cruise control switch for ~$13 dollars on Amazon. You have to drill one hole in the plastic steering wheel cover, and the switch will bolt right in. The wiring requires you to de-pin the horn wire and add that pin to the new switch wiring. It is a pretty easy addition.

I plan to to do this by end of the year. Seems like the Yaris is the new family car and its on the highway quite a bit. Actually suppressed how well it does on the highway.

Id imagine there is a good youtube video on the install.
