2008 Yaris HB Rear Badges Position Question

This is the first time I've seen the "Toyota" and "Yaris" badges placed near the bottom of the hatch. Any reason why this might be? Does it indicate the hatch was replaced and the badges were put on in the wrong location? I'm potentially interested in buying this one so I'd like to know if this is any kind of red flag. Thank you!

Funny you mention this, mine is different then any others I have seen. Mine is a 2010 hatch, just says Yaris on the left side. Doesnt say Toyota. Doesnt seem like someone took the Toyota badge off either. Looks factory.

that is not the factory location of the badges, someone put them there like that
