Hi. My son has a 2009 Yaris sedan and a couple of days ago he tried jumping his car and I’m 99% sure he reversed the polarity. As a result, his car would not start, windows would not work, and he had the car towed home. My OBD2 scanner would not connect. Using my limited, limited skills, I changed a fusible link and ETCS fuse. The car now starts and idles, all windows work except driver’s window, and I connected the scanner and got p2118 code. Car will still not rev so I am assuming it is in limp mode.
So now, I’m stuck. What else should I check? I’m assuming the throttle body is ok, but a sensor attached to the throttle body? I am determined to fix this thing. Thanks.
