Hello everyone,
as I wrote in the other thread my Yaris is finally giving me more and more trouble. (Very close to 200.000 km on the odometer, I am the first and only owner, never had an accident)
Today it's about the second fuel injector to start failing after the first one did it, two years ago.
As a divorced father (the divorce will be finalized only in December even if the papers have been served already) I am left with very little money after I pay all the stuff, so I am trying to strike a balance between effort and cost.
I am decently capable with my DIY*, but don't have a lot of tools.
Tomorrow I'll bring the car in to a mechanic to get a confirmation it's indeed the fuel injector- but how feasible it's for a random guy to replace it?
*I've been for 20 years maintainer for military simulators, and had to replace and service and impressive array of electronics, from servers, to projectors, and trust me the maintenance needed for some of that stuff is insane.
I'm careful, know my safety measures and I'm not scared of reading instructions manuals or asking for help.
