Hey everyone! I’m a long time lurker of the forum but I finally have a Yaris of my own. It’s an 07 3 door hatch with 265k miles. I’m planning to slightly build it out to be a dual sport daily/rallycross car. I am new to the Yaris world but not new to rallycross. I used to rallycross a 91 MX5 but I’ve come to realize I really enjoy FWD a lot and the Yaris seemed to be a perfect fit. Lightweight and throwable chassis, fwd, manual, just enough power to move but not to much to spin constantly in dirt. Anyways, I’ve got a bit of a list of things I’d like to accomplish with this car before next year so that I can compete in the 26 season of my local rallycross series. I also have a YouTube channel that will follow along the build as well. I’ll post those videos here as well as some more photos and planning ideas as 2025 wraps up. Anyways, it’s nice to meet all of yall!63096

Also here is my first YouTube video of the Yaris. I do a little walk around, install a tachometer, and get a rear muffler delete! https://youtu.be/Byy7GZnpjG8?si=TxV5G1-d5P_LsGvY

Great to see I’m not the only one building a rally Yaris! Mine will be for gravel and snow tsd rallies, my prorally and rallycross days are long past…!!

I saw another post where you mentioned skid plates, what are thinking..UHMW or Aluminium? UHMW works well as long as you don’t plan on landing on it. Did you do a template.
