Did they quote you a price on the TRD lower kit (4 springs / 2 shocks / 2 struts?)? I wasn't very impressed with it after the Tirerack.com trials...especially for $1000 (rumor of the price). I'm pretty sure i'll be rockin' Tein as soon as they finish testing the prototypes.

have a link to this test? I searched but couldn't find it???

i dunno, im a master tech....so i do it myself lol, i would say around $300 to install max

and im getting the trd's because i dont want it slammed (i've had plently of slammed cars b4 and just want this one for my daily driver) and it doesnt void any part of my warrenty

In Canada, Toyota lists the install as a 2 hour job at the dealership. I don't know your shop rates, but I'm sure you can figure it out.
BTW for what you want (daily driver, covered by warranty) the TRD springs work fine. Improve looks and handling, but nothing radical.

my bad, guys. I got that "quote" from the local dealership when I bought my car. Since then, I've seen the kit go for $451.62 @ toyotapartsstore.com
that's with a pretty good discount and no installation obviously....maybe i will check it out if the Tein system doesn't get produced soon...

I believe tirerack.com would have links to the Track days Test they do..but I heard about it from some of the guys who attended the event.

Sorry, no before pics. I had mine installed by the dealer before picking up my car. Cost $514 (Can.) installed. BTW I kept the originals ..... just in case. :iono:

I forgot to mention ...... the $514 was for the 4 springs, and installation. No shocks or struts.

koo - is that for the TRD Springs 1.2 front and back drop?

ricko

That's for the TRD lowering springs, made by Eibach for Toyota. I thought the drop looked like a bit more, but have been told that 1.2" is the correct amount.
