Window Tint how much did you pay?

Going to get the windows tinted law here in NC is 35% just curious as to what others have paid to get it done. I was quoted at $170 for our 3 door hatch back with lifetime warranty.

thats way too much - it shouldnt be more than like 120-25, I think i paid 115 before tax.....keep shopping.

I paid 150.00, with 35% on the Front windows and 15% on the rear doors, back window and front strip, check out my garage.

I paid $135 for 6% on the sides, back, and top of the windshield, and 30% on the front windows.

WOW! Incredible prices, I wish we had shops around here that did it for that much! I called today and was quoted a minimum of $250 for the liftback and only a 5 year warranty. The best stuff with lifetime warranty was around $350!!!!:thumbdown:

$140 from the best place I know of, Tintmasters on Canoga Ave. I know a guy in the Valley that will do it for $80.

$130 for quantum tint on every window including the visor on the front. lifetime warranty. shop around!

PS my guy cuts it cleaner than anyone i have ever seen.

i got my 5 rear windows at 5% and front two at 35% for $280 with a lifetime warranty.

MA rules say 35% all the way around... How much trouble do you think I could get in to with 15-20% on the rear and 35% on the front?


recently i got a ticket ($250) for the same set up. I had "35%" and "20%". but when the cop put the meter on it, it was 26% because the windows already have a tint on it that you can barely see. if your gonna do it be careful and i suggest superior tint in saugus if your around that area. nice guys and good prices

I paid 185 to have mine brought to 30% light pene at Gjerdes in the Twin Cities, MN. 7 year warranty. This guy did a spectacular job and I love it. He will go as far as 2.5%, but you have to sign a waver cause it is illegal there.

I got my 30% tint all the way around $220 I believe. Just remember the age old saying, you get what you paid for. So if it looks too good to be true then it probably is, you have to think long term and how long is the tint going to last, or decently last to get your money's worth. Good luck!

Do you think you would have gotten away with it if it was a straight 20% (I might throw on 25% to balance the 5% already on there).

i went to this ghetto place in malden (auto tunerz) its a new company...pretty decent $150 all 5 windows....But my friends went to superior in saugus...i think that place is much more reliable... im not sure the price but i think its 160 not positive. maybe we could get a deal if we went together...

I paid $200 for my 35% reflective tint. It comes with a lifetime warranty as long as I own the vehicle. I shopped around and prices ranged from 200-250, depending on the area.

There is obv no warranty or anything but there is rarely anything to worry about. Plus, Its nice being able to get fresh ones put on every couple months, esp when the police can stop you and rip em right off without question!

Doesnt happen often, but ive seen them bust out a razor blade and just go at it lol, no joke.

haha same here In Lebanon, cops rip off tint for fun here. I payed 30bucks cuz the person that did it for me does it for the local car dealers..couldve done it for 5$ in some ghetto place if I wanted to.

And it's extremely ridiculous that some people here are being charged over 200$ for tint, when the tint itself costs less than 10$.

yea tint is only like 50 bucks, i got mine done at the dealership for 192.05 w/ lifetime warrenty. Labor cost about 150 and whatnot. I had a hook where i could get it for 80 bucks but decided to just go with the dealership.
