I take offence to that comment, I have astma... no realy I do.... but it sound like A) you OD is taking a shit, or B) bad shift solenoids... I would take it to the dealer.... 3 year/36k warranty will cover that repare

My auto. does not do that... These transmissions should hold 3rd gear if you're are on a hill or have a strong headwind, and not upshift untill the extra power is no longer needed. By any case it should NOT shift between 3rd and 4th repeatedley. Sadly, I think you need to take it in.

Why would you take offense? He wasn't saying people with asthma should die or anything...

Mines done it since day one.. i know exactly what your are talking about.
BUT, it does it right in the range between 3rd and 4th.. if Im feathering the pedal in that zone, it will do it.

I'd love to see the look on the service guy's face when he tells him it shifts out between 80-100. LOL!

I know mine done that, but I have cruise control, but I know when I was just gunning along it would go into 4th but the time it switched back to 3rd was short.

LOL! My guess is shitting his pants. I've been up to 90 and the it is so effected by the wind it was rocking back and forth.

I think the wind effects the sedan more. My hatch is pretty steady, even among trucks.
My auto doesn't shift like that. I'd get the service dept to give it a look.

the auto transmission it's computer programmed in function of the driving style (it programs itself during a period of time). maybe trying to reset it will change something...
Take it in to your dealer and get it fixed. Then trade it in for a manual 5 speed transmission. Problem cured.

what if the OP can't drive stick. For me, I have never driven stick and no offense but stick is just not very good for Chicago traffic.. since it's always stop and go >_<

here i south florida in normal. a month ago i took my moms to orlando and back from palm beach gardens. I took the turnpike and was going 90 there and back. I didnt want to go slower because I was getting passed ike i was sitting still. yes the speedo works fine. by the way I filled up right before the turn pike and as soon as i got back (round trip) I still got 34.2 mpg without using cruise. Cant wait for mine to get here.
