Usually you have to drill rivets out. And you can easily get a rivet gun w/some rivets and reattach. Although I don't know about the angle they are at... Dunno if this helps at all.

As the site says "Read Carefully", fits HB only!
Ummmm.....Might want to fire up the "smokey smokey" after you are done with the "FUEL" door. 6779
I'm sure you can drill out the rivets and use bolts and nuts in their place.
Not sure of the set up from where I sit but can you peel back the inner fender liner and look aft? You might have a better angle there.

Holy Shi'ite!
You folks are serious? It is simply a stock part, with some carbon twill wrapped over it and clear-coated. So in fact it is HEAVIER than stock by the weight of the carbon and clear-coat.
If it is all "Grade A+" carbon, then it is probably crap, since there is no such grading system for carbon, let alone a color other than black available. All other colors are not carbon - I don't care what the brochure says - they are at the best carbon wrapped in a colored sheath, which adds weight and reduces strength, at the worst they are simply polyester in a twill weave , what everyone thinks of as "carbon" even though it is simply one of hundreds of fabric types available.
Looks? Well, to each his own  I'm not blameless in that department myself, but don't kid yourself you're getting anything special there.

Here's a pic of the rivets. Sorry it's so blurry. The head appears to be 1/2" and approx' a 1/16" thick. Maybe someone can i.d. it from this:iono:

Jerkratt - I didn't mean to throw stones - my house has a lot of glass....
I just am amazed at the amount of cheap "carbon" crap available, both real and fake, that could so easily be made out of REAL carbon for about the same price.
I was looking at a "carbon" hood the other day - little tiny letters at the bottom said something along the lines of "retains full strength compared to the OEM hood due to having fiberglass under the carbon....."
BS! The carbon is the strong stuff - f'glass is just floppy unless really thick and heavy.
Ah, well... let us know how it turns out.

hahahaha....worked for a company that sold CF shovel/rake/broom handles, they had 4 strands of carbon in with the 150 strands of glass...no way were they stronger, although you might get 'zapped' if you touched an electrical cable!!!!!

The gas cap comes with rivets to install with - you just need the tool.

Looks like flimsy aluminum with a "Carbon Fiber" looking sticker stuck on top.
I'm not impressed. At least with the CF overlay you know it's a solid OEM door underneath.
