So as it seems my rear axle on my Sedan is not centered on the car. I have not hit anything, nor curbed the car. I first noticed when I threw on my After market rims on, because they fill the wheel wells more. On the passenger side of the car the wheel is almost flush, and on the drivers side it is inset noticably more.

So hopefully when I take my car in it is covered under Warranty.

Has this happened to anyone else? I am at a loss right now. really annoys me.

That is bizzare! It should be under warranty I would think. Its a major part and I assumed you haven't messed with the axel. Did it look like this with the regular OEM tires on?

Thing is you only really notice its out when the aftermarket rims are on, They are wider than stock. Stock are inset more so it is not so noticeable.

I think someone else had the same problem. I just remember bits and pieces of the post but he had rubbing on just one side. He was on a trip with the family and gear to CapeCod I believe. It's probably in this tire forum. I'll check it out. Maybe it's a problem or maybe it's normal. Who knows......could be offset to facilitate other parts. Fuel tank, exhaust....

Found it....WEIRD RUBBING PROBLEM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So i took the wife and the kid to Cape Cod this weekend, and trough out the trip my rear passenger side tire was rubbing the hell out of the fender. I freaked out and decided maybe it was a alignement problem and after taking the car to a local shop i saw what the problem was. The separation between the left strut and the rear strut from the body is different. The wheel thats rubbing has about 0.8 inch separation from the body compared to the side that does not rub. I have Rota Slip with 38 offset and 205/50r16 tires and NF's. Any ideas will be appreciated

Look in this forum under Weird Rubbing Problem

Hope it helps....
