humm you may not get a lot of help when dealing with domestic tuning companies on this site. i for one have never modified a domestic and i think a lot of guys here are on the same boat.

Sorry, my domestic side showing through. They're aftermarket tuning companies for Ford, GM, etc.

Thanks, fu. Piggy backs is all they have now, there was talk of trying to get cobb tuning to setup accessport for the yaris, which would be a handheld just like the diablo or sct.

RCTS Canada (rctscanada.com) and I are currently investigating converting the Yaris P9 (Echo here in NA) turbo kit from TTE (Toyota Team Europe) to use with the NA YARiS's.

Engine management would be provided by HKS's Fcon Vpro.

More as it developes... (its slowly developing ;)

They were just examples; I'm not looking to use them specifically.

I read about Cobb possibly doing something in the thread that fu linked... like someone else said, I'm surprised Cobb worked on anything besides Subbies.

Ching!

It depends on your definition of "worked". If you mean their product actually functions on any other car but Subarus, than no, Cobb products don't work on anything but Subarus at the moment. If you mean they've been playing around with cars other than Subarus, than yes, Cobb works with other cars to try to develop and adapt new products.

Chances are the 350Z will be getting an AccessPORT before the Yaris, though. And the G35. And the Evo. And the RX-8. They already have consumer interest for all these cars, know they would sell, have bought a car to test with, and have been working on cracking the ECUs.

The only way to let Cobb know that you're interested in an AccessPORT for the Yaris is to tell them. They've still got to determine if they can sell the product and if it's worth their time, though. Even if they decide to do it, buy a car, and start on it tomorrow an actual product would still take a few years to come down the pipeline. Don't tell them you want an AccessPORT for the Yaris unless you're willing to drop $700 for it in 2 years or so. Anything else is a waste of their time.
