I love this car but it's like it always has the day lights on or whatever they are called. is there some way to turn it off? If not, that's fine too but I just got confused at first when they came on and didn't realize that they were suppose to be on. Thanks all. Otherwise, I love the yaris. I didn't even dare to eat in it today to keep it clean but I feel like I need to wash it already! hehe. OK, thanks all.

Why would you want to disable DRL's?

There is considerable European data to show that DRL's significantly reduce daytime accidents!

Furthermore, aren't DRL's required by law on late model cars in Canada? Could you be cited if you disconnect DRL's?

That question has been beaten to death around here.

Some just hate the look, others need to disable in order to run an HID kit. Its personal prefrence.

Until my DIY, knowone knew the easy steps it takes to disable them... since then tons have gotten rid of them. :)

In the USA, they are not required by law, but in Canada you cannot disable them.

yeah uhh I live in the US and I have never heard of a law that doesn't allow you to disable the DRL. For me, I find the DRL's to be a bit too bright just for driving in the day.

JDM Tails are illegal to have in Canada too, but still have them!! You must decide on the risk. HID are another reason for some.

You trust data from EUROPE?! :bellyroll: I turned them off because I kept catching myself driving at night with no tail lights on, as a lot of us have mentioned.
