i wouldn't get that one if i were you. it doesn't look genuine TRD, i bet its a chinese ripoff. get a K&N, there always good, or if your ever not sure about a part, get a TRD, its guaranteed to fit, but its more expensive and it most likely has a warranty.

We have Fujita CAI's for $211.24 Shipped in Continental U.S. and AEM CAI's for $224 Shipped right now. If you want a short ram, a link has been posted for the dragon which people who have purchased have gave back good reviews.

thanks guys
will a k&n replacement filter make much difference?

Not alot, but a cold air like TRD or AEM will. If its about price thats another thing if you dont want to spend that much you better stick with a drop in K&N

will a k&n replacement filter make much difference? If you remove the carbon trap and the snorkel while your at it,you will see better response and a little more growl, maybe even a hp or 2.

I was looking at that Dragon short ram intake and was wondering how much that will actually increase performance, if any. Also, does a Cold Air Intake give you more a lot more power?

not too much, but no intake for the yaris does. you will notice increased noise and a little bit of power, but not that much.

Also, does a Cold Air Intake give you more a lot more power? It makes the car twice as fun to drive fast cause the engine has a real nice sound to it. As far as power,it feels more responsive to me and a little stronger at high rpm.:iono:

Would you recommend any other intake?

Would you recommend any other intake?I would buy what you can afford. They all acomplish the same task. Short rams have however seemed to be showing more of a gain on the dyno than a cold air intake. Nothing you would proably feel though.

I didn't like the looks of the actual filter on the dragon intake so I put on a typical conical type(ebay $18 to my door). I have had no CEL's in over 500 miles. I don't have buyers remorse or envy of other intakes.

Another thing to consider is looks, look around and see which one looks best to you too.

Does anyone know if an intake will void the warrinty?

slvryaris

If it helps blow the engine or gets water into it then it will. I think the only thing that wont void it if something goes wrong is if you go to the Toyota dealer and over pay for one then over pay for them to put it in. That would be an official "Toyota" part put in by a "Toyota" tech and you will OVERPAY...

So just put it in and its all good. basically.

it will only void the warranty if the problem is directly related to the intake.....if something else happens that is unrelated, they cant hold the intake against you

He is correct. I believe that it is called the Magnuson-Moss Act.
