Any Americans considering trading their Yaris for one when the hit our shores?
I am thinking about it. I might rent one soon to see how I like it.
For $14k you can get one with all sorts of goodies including panoramic roof, paddle shifters and alloy rims.
I kind of dig the cabro but with a panoramic roof who needs it.

I love it but alas, no back seat so that zeroes it out for me. Also its too pricey.

It's Smart FORTWO, not twofor! :laughabove:
They're supposed to be good little cars, but they are a bit pricey unless you get the convertible... it's far and away the cheapest new convertible you can get your hands on. However, the transmission is some kind of funky electronic gizmo that has horrendous lag between gearshifts. They say if you really enjoy driving, you'll hate it, but if you just like to cruise, it's an awesome car.
The funky gear shifting tends to be the dealbreaker. Why they couldn't just use a simple manual tranny from a go-kart I'll never understand.

I test drove one and although I liked it, I found the Yaris RS to be better in every way comparing to the Smart's Passion Model with similar options. The only place the Smart won was in Fuel economy and price per fill. The Yaris was cheaper to purchase/lease and thus made up for the cheap(er) gas useage. I love my Yaris.
