View Full Version : TRDsparks License plate frame; legal?
Hey guys, i recently got the license plate frames from trdsparks along with the sway bar... i was wondering since the TRD logo on the frame is so big, it covers the state name on the plate...... is that illegal?

This is from FAQ about vehicle inspections on www.mass.gov
"I was told my vehicle failed because the dealer license plate frame obstructs the logo The Spirit of America or Massachusetts.
Regulations require that all letters, numbers, stickers, and symbols must be clearly visible on the number plate. A number plate frame that obstructs any part of the plate is illegal, and you could be fined for having an obstructed plate."

Probably, from what Ive been reading about MA on here they'll find a reason.
Cop: 'Sir, you've covered up the name of the great State of MASS-A-CHU-SETTS!!!. Im writing you up for tarnishing our good State's name. You'll learn a big lesson from this.'
You MA guys really need to go see Ed Kennedy. Get him on the case and problems solved! Just dont let him drive your Yaris.

I wear no frame because that is something Texas is very strict about. You can get away with no front plate most all the time but obstructing the rear with a cover or a frame will get us pulled over.
