As you can see from my last post, I'll be running aprox 1400 watts of power, will I need a cap?? anyone recommend the "best of the best " cap out there?

i've heard that capacitors don't really do much (kinda like K&N). ever since then, i've stop looking into them. but if i were to get one, i would stick to the more well-known brands, like RF. also, you might want to get a 1-farad cap.

I would say if you're pushing more than about 500-600 watts, you'd definitely want to go with a cap. They absolutely do what they're supposed to do, which is take the stress of the quick serges in amperage demands on the electrical system. Phoenix Gold makes a nice 1 farad cap.
