hey everyone

jus a new person here .. trying to entertain u guys with some of my noobie qns

i want to buy a head unit with DVD and GPS ... but im having some sort of budget constraint .. isit possible that i buy a headunit first and install the gps later ?

Yes. Depending on how much you would like to spend on the unit initially, you could start out with a bare-bones car PC with a lot of expandability potential. After a few months, you could go for a nice external GPS unit which connects to the computer via USB.

This is a version of Linux optimized for in-car use. It will feature GPS support among many other features. A good project to keep an eye on.This of course is a somewhat more involved process, but the end results are usually worth it. I will be taking this approach at some point in the near future.

I got a Kenwood 7" head unit, and added their piggyback GPS later.

ic .. the Kenwood one is abit over the budget for me .. wad do u guys think about the Pioneer AVH-P6850DVD
